WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE!!
Thanks for visiting with us and checking in on "What's New!"
Our office has been very busy with many new and exciting projects of great interest. We have been working with talented and efficient Builders throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. The abundant, beautiful and inspiring locations of local area subdivisions make our job site visits a pleasure, even in the most challenging weather. Currently, we have ongoing projects in various stages at Deer Creek, Cedar Creek, Hallbrook Farms, Tomahawk Creek Estates, Saddle Ridge Estates, Whispering Hills, The National, The Preserve at Shoal Creek Valley and in existing established neighborhoods. These subdivisions range in location all over the metro. The whole of Kansas City is growing despite the negative predictions on economy and due to recent events. We are proud to be a part of the tremendous growth of such a wonderful area as Kansas City and the surrounding townships. Once again, recent news events have made us feel grateful that we live in the United States.
We are pleased to assist with the planning of a new subdivision, The Preserve at Shoal Creek Valley located west of Liberty, Missouri. Shoal Creek Valley is breaking onto the Kansas City scene as a premiere community for quality living. The extraordinary attention to detail by the developers is placing The Preserve at Shoal Creek Valley in a top notch, first class category. The Shoal Creek Valley Preserve is located at 152 Highway and Shoal Creek Parkway. Their phone number is 816-781-7203.
Another outstanding subdivision our firm has been designing homes in is The National located 6701 Birkdale, Parkville, Missouri, phone number 816-746-0200. This beautiful area has been placed on rolling hills and planned around breath taking golf courses. Wolfgang Trost Architects has been involved in several home designs at the National for Builder JD Nelson of The Nelson Companies at 816-436-9100 and Builder Harry Roth of Roth Construction at 913-814-0779.
These and other subdivisions will have homes on the Greater Kansas City Home Builders Association Homes Tours. This is one of the great ways to take advantage of becoming familiar with the Kansas City metro area, the various architectural styles of homes, and the many products offered by the Builders.
At this time we would like to thank the many trade people in the metro area that have honored us by using our architectural designs in their advertising that is published in various local and national magazines. Our thanks go out to J.S. Robinson Fine Homes at 913-441-2988, J.D. Nelson Building Company at 816-436-9100, Roth Construction Company at 913-814-0779, Robert Montgomery Homes, Inc. at 913-338-5500 and ADI: Architectural Details International at 913-321-9575.
Thanks for looking in on us. We enjoyed your visit!

Wolfgang Trost Architects, Spring 2001
What is that big bright light in the sky? It comes up and goes down…Could it actually be the beginning of springtime? Is it the sun? It came out from behind those gray puffy things in the sky…..I must be dreaming!
Enough of the dramatics! Yes, Susie, springtime will be here soon. Along with springtime comes that feeling of "Hurry Up! We've got to get a meeting set up with the Architect so we can get started on our house!" Have you called us yet????? We are here! We can't wait to see what interesting ideas you've come up with! Bring in all those magazine picture pages of kitchens, baths, fireplaces, patios, swimming pools, master suites, garden walkways, back decks, family rooms with windows and a large screened in porch! Let us see it all, because we are ready to help you put it together for the grand plan!
The Greater Kansas City Home Builders Association will be hosting the 2001 Spring Homes Tour from April 22, 2001 through May 6, 2001. As always, this is a great opportunity to see the new subdivisions throughout the metro, as well as check up on the great homebuilders in our area. We have had the pleasure of working with many of these homebuilders over the years. Besides looking at lovely new homes, other reasons for going on the tour may be to research landscape companies in town, check out the new golf course communities, look at the beautiful interior details by various interior designers, or pick out a neighborhood to move into. The tour is free and is a "must see" if you are interested in seeing what is happening in the residential construction industry. Thank you to the Greater Kansas City Home Builders Association for this wonderful Spring Homes Tour.
Wolfgang Trost Architects is proud to announce the design of a show home in The National subdivision that will be open to the public on this Spring Homes Tour. The National is located in Parkville, Missouri. Harry Roth, of Roth Construction, has built a home on the Tom Watson designed golf course that is an exclusive Wolfgang Trost Architects custom residential design. The home overlooks the course, a creek and has an incredibly dramatic view. The address of this lovely home is 6426 Bunker Hill, Parkville, Missouri. It was our pleasure to work with Harry Roth and his Client on this successful design.
We hope to see all of you out there traveling around our great metro area admiring the work of the local Builders. They do an excellent job, and it is to their credit the Kansas City Metropolitan area has so many well built and great looking homes.
Now, back to that wonderful warm breeze, the smell of honeysuckle mixed with lily of the valley floating across the meadow, the full white clouds slowly drifting across a wide open sky, hawks riding the up draft over the tree tops and gliding along the river as it bends here and there through the large sand bars. The heart of our beautiful land is waking up again to the warmth of the sun and the moisture from the winter storms. This has happened more times than anyone of us could possibly imagine, yet it will be forever new, fresh and full of wonder as nature unleashes her boundless life energy in spring.
Life is good!
Susan
J.D. Nelson, of The Nelson Companies, collaborated with Wolfgang Trost Architects design team to create a winner! Located north of Kansas City in Parkville, Missouri at 6504 Turnberry Court, the home is situated on the new Tom Watson designed National Golf Course Community. The home won First Place in the Home Builders Association $600,000.00 and up category. If you wish to have a guided tour, you can reach J.D. Nelson Company at 816-436-9100. I'm sure they would enjoy talking with you. We'd like to thank J.D. for the opportunity to work with him, his family and his crew on a truly successful project! Congratulations again, J.D.!
Speaking of fall, here in the metro area, leaves are beginning to come alive with glowing golds and brilliant reds. This time of year is truly a treasure trove of beauty to excite the eye and stimulate the mind as the wind blows. Dazzling colorful leaves begin to dance with magical abandon. Homeowners everywhere realize it will soon be time to brace for those strong northern blasts that rattle windows and seek out crevices in and around the doors. Temperatures will be dropping below freezing soon. Soft white flakes will be drifting lazily down from heavy snow burdened clouds. I can picture it now: We will be sipping hot cider while we wait for our next turn to sled down the steep, "wild and crazy" hill, screaming for all we're worth! Yes, there will be some skill involved, but mostly just adrenaline and endurance is needed. Let's not think about how you should have used a higher R rating for the insulation in the attic, or bought those special insulated Low E glass windows, or forced caulking into every little nook and cranny you could see/reach. Don't even begin to consider that furnace you should've replaced with a more efficient model, or the weather stripping around those leaky doors. The grasshopper had the right idea…maybe? The good part about the whole thing is, hey, IT IS NOT TOO LATE! It is never too late! Save one of those snow filled days to plan out a course of action and hop to it. The home improvement market is full of cost effective ways to impact your utility bills, improve the comfort level in your home and pump up your pride in ownership.
Many banks in town are just waiting to help you out, too. Just recently our good friend, Jeff Jernigan, CEO of Bannister Bank & Trust, was featured in an early October issue of The Business Journal. Jeff is very open minded when it comes to home improvement. Also, Don Sears of Commercial Federal Bank would be more than happy to hear from you. He, too, is interested in helping folks with home improvement needs. A great bonus about both of these guys is they are incredibly friendly. Hello to both Jeff and Don! Thanks for being there!
You now have the motive, as well as a couple of really good leads on where to get the money for your improvements. What are you waiting for? Jump on in for that ride to a new improved home, and, as some would say, "It is all down hill from here!"
Susan
On your mark, get set, go!
Hop into those dungarees, (jeans), you've been saving for playing in the dirt, get out the gardening tools, and put on your digging boots. The season is here for getting down and dirty while listening to the birds chirp, lawn mowers hum, and children playing outside. That's Right! It is finally SPRINGTIME!
What's the plan? The kitchen garden goes here, with a low flower border around the path with the taller blooming full-sun flowers standing proud in the back 6 feet away from the dogwood by the creek that will provide dappled shade for our bench placed underneath some high branches just-so…that's where our break room can be when we need to sit, rest and plan over a cool glass of lemonade.
Somehow, the planning slowly encompasses the entire property. A simple tomato patch takes on a whole new meaning. But don't despair! This is the time of the year to go for it! A new fence or a stone border around those flowerbeds would make a world of difference. Maybe you need to have some fresh paint on that garden gate that you suddenly realize is attached to your house. One thing about improvements, they are instantly gratifying! Everything looks better almost the minute you put some energy into it.
The Home Builders Association of the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area will be inviting us all to the HOMES TOUR April 30, 2000 through May 14, 2000. Take advantage of this tour! Wonderful homes will be open for your viewing pleasure. There is no cost for this tour.
Also, we'd like to brag a wee bit about the March/April 2000 issue of Kansas City Homes & Gardens. We wish to congratulate Harry Roth of Roth Construction, Inc. for the winning entry for the Home of The Year competition! We thoroughly enjoyed being the architectural design firm of this team with our Client and Roth Construction, Inc. for this tremendous project. The countless details and thoughtful design that went into this home required exceptional effort. We appreciate the Client and Roth Construction, Inc. for entering one of our custom home designs in the competition this year. (This article can be found on page 82. Roth Construction, Inc. has an ad on page 56. The ad for Wolfgang Trost Architects can be found on page 126.)
We hope you will enjoy your upcoming play-outside days!
Sail Away,
So what is all this I hear about Y2K? Is it possible that someone out there is going to let some computer rook them out of some money they stand to earn because of an oversight on the Y2K issue? Get with the program!! No business is going to allow a computer system to cause them to loose money. It is just not going to happen. Whether it is product or services that company sells, they simply cannot afford to have a computer system that is not Y2K compatible. Trust the CEO's for once, and reason they will not allow the loss of one penny due to Y2K. I'm counting on them to take this very personally. So, with this impeccable logic in mind, we, (society as a whole), shall have the necessities of life at hand throughout the transition from 1999 to 2000. I will be proud to say I was around to ring in the dawn of the year 2000! And what a year it will be!
Besides that, it was recently reported that lumber prices were falling, albeit slightly. So there!
Even though the federal government has raised the interest rate, housing is still going strong. There is never a better time to take advantage of borrowing for improvements to your home, or building a new one. Plus the fact we've had virtually no rain at all, making the building season here dry and long. That means a continuous window of opportunity to work at the job site without the threat of rain delays. Here in the heart of America we're enjoying prosperous times. This summer has been full of creative designs, good construction, and happy Clients. (The corn on the cob has been exceptionally good, too!) We are very lucky to live in a diverse region of the United States that keeps moving straight ahead.
We are pleased to have a model home project in the subdivision where Tom Watson has designed the golf course for the National Golf Club of Kansas City located in Parkville, Missouri. The involvement of quality personalities in that project will ensure success for the homeowner, builder and subdivision. Check it out this fall. It will be worth a special trip.
Of course, we would like to thank everyone that continues to use our details of home design in their advertisements with the various home magazines that are published locally. It is an honor to have our design work showcased in such a fashion.
Keep Moving Straight Ahead!
Totally Focused,
Can you hear the blades of grass growing? Has your hosta actually grown three inches overnight? Do your trees have that wonderfully lacy look with the growth of new green leaves? Get a load of those colors in the tulips! But wait, is that a crab apple tree I'm feasting my eyes on? And look! Those dogwoods are just about to pop!
Quick! Rev up the lawn mower, get out the hedge clippers, verticut the yard. Get outside where the fresh spring air is in the breeze. The birds are so loud you can hardly get a word in edgewise.
We would like to give a big "CONGRATULATIONS!!!" to Keith Eymann and all of the people at Ambassador Construction Co. as The Home Of The Year Remodel Winner. This was recently announced in the March/April 1999 issue of Kansas City Homes and Garden magazine. Wolfgang Trost Architects had the pleasure of working with the Client on the design of this project. We are extremely happy that our design along with Ambassador Construction Co. excellence in quality craftsmanship placed this remodel project in the WINNER category.
At this time we would like to extend an invitation to the Vanderslice Homes Tour this May. One of the homes on the tour has been designed by Wolfgang Trost Architects. The address of this home is 2701 West 112th Street in Hall Brook Farms subdivision. Should you have the opportunity to go on this fund raising tour, please take time to stop by this address! We are very grateful to our Clients for opening their door for worthy causes. This fund raising tour benefits the Kansas City Art Institute.
There is no doubt about it. The Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area is a beautiful place to be when spring rolls through. The residents of this wonderful area have excelled when it comes to planting blooming plants. We would like to thank all of you, along with Mother Nature, for the visual beauty created by your efforts.
The Grace of springtime is truly amazing.
(Remember to feed the birds!)
Hello! Congratulations on making it to 1999! All of us at Wolfgang Trost Architects are looking forward to an incredible year, with many interesting adventures. We are ready to push the envelope on new products, building techniques and, of course, the world of design! We are design minded individuals that explore the endless options of form, function, aesthetics, size, lighting, traffic flow to mention just a few considerations. Theme and spirit play an important part of the design world. If it can be fun, fabulous, extremely comfortable and meet your needs we know we are on the right path. Exploring the unique "feel" of each project, slowly evolving and taking shape, the seeds of ideas being born, shadow and light turning into tangible dreams…..the mind is a wonderful tool! Never underestimate the possibilities.
We thank our Clients for bringing their most individual dreams to us. Each time this happens, it is similar to receiving a wonderful gift. We simply hope to give them back the gift of a tremendous opportunity: To live in the home of their dreams. Many times our Clients have stayed interested in other projects of ours long after their own home has been completed. They become part of the design world simply through their continued interest for the beauty and inspiration our world holds.
In essence, we are very grateful to be able to have such a strong purpose. Due to the fantastic Clients that call on us with their endless capacity for ideas, we are able to fulfill our drive and accomplish that basic goal we've set for ourselves. Quality, imagination, communication, creativity, excitement, professional expertise and fun-while-we-are-at-it attitude allow us to provide the gift of lifestyle.
This is such a great way to start a New Year! What a world!
Once again,
Happy New Year,
Completely Inspired!
Susan
Where are you with your project?
Reality Check Time:
Fourth Quarter, 1998, is rapidly vanishing, with 1999 breathing down our necks. Will we simply have to settle for the field goal, or try to run it in for a touch down? With minutes to go in the quarter, do you feel as though you have you been left with dreams unfulfilled? Hello!!! There is still time to jump in there and get going! Absolutely! Don't give up the game yet! Maybe the level of challenge has just increased, (big time), however, when the going gets tough, where do the tough go? That's right! To the Architect!! Now we're back on track! Not a problem after all. A slight momentary blip, the vision is clear again, with a straight shot at the goal line! You find yourself putting forth effort that comes only to those inspired, landing firmly on the scoring side of the game! YES!
We'd like to say "hello" to the Mandelbaum Family. They were recently featured in the Holiday 1998 issue of Kansas City Home Design, an Abarta Metro Publication. Truly, Jack and Claudia have an extremely meaningful family history. No doubt, one is very lucky to be a recipient of any of Claudia's gourmet efforts!! Thank you for inspiring us all to have better family relationships, meaningful traditions and delicious, beautifully prepared food! The K.C. metro area is very lucky to have the Mandelbaum Family as residents.
At this time of the year, there are numerous homes tours available to the public. One in particular I would like to mention is the Johnson County Young Matrons 1998 Home for the Holidays tour happening on Wednesday, November 18, 1998, from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Many businesses are selling tickets to this event. We'd like to urge you to come out and see one of Wolfgang's designs at 2701 West 112th Street. It is listed as the # 3 home on the Tour, with all three floors of the residence open for viewing. We greatly appreciate our wonderful Clients for their generosity and good will.
Another homes tour is being held by the Kansas City Women's Symphony Guild at Lake Weatherby, Missouri. This tour is on Tuesday, December 8, 1998 from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Once again, Wolfgang will have homes designed by our firm open for the public to view. Specifically, 7318 N.W. Kerns Drive is a lovely old world custom designed home for our Client situated on a grand hilltop overlooking beautiful Lake Weatherby. Another home on this same tour, located at 7703 N.W. Westside Drive, was a fantastic remodel/addition to the second floor project for our Client. This home has a wonderful waterfront location with a most inspiring view of Lake Weatherby. Once again, we thank our Clients for their willingness to open their incredible homes for a good cause. Tickets for this tour can be purchased at Home Embellishments located at 102 Main in Parkville, Missouri, phone 505-1022, as well as other locations around the metropolitan area.
We hope you will have an inspirational and highly meaningful season this year. It is very satisfying for us at Wolfgang Trost Architects to be able to have provided dreams for many of our Client's homes, where some of their most precious moments and memories have taken place. We are honored to have taken part in the creation of helping them realize their dreams.
Let that little light shine!
"Adventures in Homebulding"
Let’s all jump into mid-summer! It seems as though mid-summer has definitely jumped on us here at Wolfgang Trost Architects! Where has the time gone? We’ve all been too busy sipping our mint juleps poolside, right? Try again! We’ve all been sweating to the oldies because the summer is the time to build, remodel, add-on and landscape! Yes! We’ve been walking the site, talking the dimensions, waving our arms, and getting excited about the move-in date, no? And with that has come the most incredible steamy weather any one person could endure. But!! The rain has kept our part of the country beautifully green, the crops are looking good, and the builders are still able to make some progress regardless of some slight flooding here in the metro area.
As I thumb through the May/June issue of Kansas City Homes and Gardens, I recognize time and again photographs of projects designed by Wolfgang Trost Architects showcased in advertisements/articles. These advertisements/articles represent some of the best trades people in the business. We take great pride in working with them on our design projects. We are flattered they choose to honor us by picturing our designs in their advertisements/articles. We wish them great success and look forward to our next project together. That list of trades people in the May/June 1998 issue of Kansas City Homes and Gardens showcasing our projects in their advertisement/articles includes:
Other examples will be found in the July/August 1998 issue of Kansas City Homes and Gardens and are as follows:
We’d also like to thank those of you that have sent us email and wish to know more about our firm. We are interested in your project, as well as any dialogue about architecture. We live for it!
Does El Nino ever take a nap?
See you on the course,
Susan
Greetings!!!
Susan
For those of you that made it through the holidaze and the new year change over, a major congratulations!!
Yes, here it is - 1998 - and many of us are thumbing through the garden catalogs, watching This Old House,
working on our winter "coat", (that is, we are trying to get it off!), and wondering how much longer will we be able to put off organizing the projects we have for this spring.
Guess what!! The time is now!! Get pumped because the crocuses are popping up all over the place, and the daffodils are right behind!! Clean the gutters, paint the house, clear the garage, call the pool people, till the garden, check the compost, start the seeds, plan the vacation---on your mark, set, go!
Now that we are all hyperventilating, let's catch our breath, act our age (do we have to?), and have some fun!!!!! Great weather, good times, garage sales and sore muscles are just around the corner!
Recently, Wolfgang Trost Architects finds many of our projects in the public spotlight. One of our designs has been on the Home Builders Assoc. Tour of Homes here in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Information about this house on our website. It is a spec. home built by Rechtfertig Homes, and has enjoyed success as the Pick of the Parade for 1997. Larry and Jeanne Rechtfertig have made a fantastic effort on this project. Their careful attention and sensitivity to Wolfgang's design and detail make this home a knock out! The home is located in Briarcliff West subdivision. We invite you to drive by, take a look, call Rechtfertig Homes at 897-5720.
This spring we will also enjoy coverage on our designs through the Kansas City Homes and Garden magazine. Several of our design projects, built by excellent builders in the area, have been selected to be in the March/April issue. As always, we are very pleased to have our clients happy with their homes, and to have been part of the process of having their dream home realized. For them to agree to publish their home is always exciting for us! We hope to have this information entered into our web site as soon as it becomes available.
We'd like to thank everyone at Kansas City Homes and Gardens for their continuing effort and interest in the architectural community, as well as highlighting how great a place Kansas City is. The greater metropolitan area has much to offer every interest. With new improvements planned for the downtown area, midtown area, as well as new growth in many of the communities in and surrounding Kansas City, Missouri, the area has great diversity. Plus, we have the bonus of living all four seasons to its fullest right here in the Heart of America. (Any minute I'm going to break out with "God Bless America"!!)
El Nino has been good to us this winter. We are looking forward to a great building season. Actually, our building season never really tapered off this winter. Many builders have gone full steam ahead.
We'd love to have some of your comments about your building experiences with your own projects. Should you feel so inclined to share, send your "Adventures in Home Building" to us. A good story is captivating!!
The fact your telling it means you lived through it!! (Yes, you may use your pen name. Please protect the innocent!)
Please sign the guest book!
Maybe a Norway Spruce would look better,
Does anyone really believe that this is September? Don't look now, but all those "things" you were going to do over the summer just got bumped to the fall schedule. Things like exterior painting, exterior repairs, exterior this and exterior that. Just keep that list current and name it "FALL THINGS TO DO". No Problem! Hopefully, we all did the fun things, you know, like take a vacation, play ball, swim, camp, hike, fish, sail, golf, play tennis, etc. You get the picture-outdoor fun activities. Now the phrase that grabs our attention is "BACK TO SCHOOL". It is like the alarm clock just went off.
Some of us are not ready to move out of our summer routines and get back with the school schedule. However, it does serve at least one good purpose. It is a wake up call. Yes, the weather is going to change, so all of us grasshoppers best take heed and make notice of what those ants have been up to. We all speed up by another 100 miles an hour, (trying to get things on that list done). Here at Wolfgang Trost Architects we are happy to say we have been working like mad scientist on some of the greatest projects! Wonderful designs have been flowing forth from our Architects. They have been inspired and it has resulted in some unique homes. Here in the heart of America, our weather goes through drastic changes, from the hottest hot to the coldest cold. In between, we experience some of the most beautiful and wonderful weather known on this earth. These changes stimulate, inspire, give direction and create enthusiasm. Our latest projects are a reflection of these ever changing seasons, bursting forth with new creative ideas, designs, concepts and realities. During this time of the year, the construction level generally reaches a frenzy. Everyone has a feeling of urgency trying to complete their project, or wanting to start their project. All this energy is totally positive, and is very exciting. It is amazing how much can be accomplished, especially when a client has clear vision.
That vision is shared, channeled, takes shape and before long becomes a tangible object called a home. We hope you've enjoyed your summer. Take some time to look at our photo gallery. We welcome any response you may have to our entries. Please sign our guest book so we know you've visited! Hello to Raul Hirsch, Architect. Hey Raul! Great House!! When can we visit??!! Thanks for the photos!! We'd also like to say Hello! to: Did I miss the kick-off?
Trying not to get run over in the fast lane,
Susan
Welcome to our latest update for Wolfgang Trost Architects!
June has come and we were ready and waiting!! Baseball season is upon us, along with fishing, hiking, camping out, sailing, outdoor tennis, golf, badminton, soccer, swimming, volleyball, and all those other great outdoor activities we all love to do.
However, there is one outdoor activity that is probably on our minds whether the season is warm or cold. That would be called "landscaping"! Many of us plan for this activity throughout our entire year, even our entire life! Landscaping is a wonderful time consuming and mind boggling activity. Most of us love to be outside and create beautiful outdoor areas to relax in and enjoy throughout the four seasons. This goal can be achieved with vibrant color, lovely pathways, swaying trees, soft shaded hidden gardens, trellis’ with romantic blooming vines, soothing waterfalls flowing into a pond filled with lotus blossoms, or simply a garden filled with luscious herbs and flowers.
Berm it, grade it, plant it with perennials and/or annuals, evergreens and/or deciduous trees, plan which bulbs will go where, seed it, sod it, fertilize it, fight those weeds, mulch it.....but whatever you do be sure you enjoy it!
Other ideas for those thinking in terms of a screened in porch, patio, swimming pool environment where more than plant material is to be considered, we do have several photographs concerning this subject in our photo gallery. It has been our pleasure to help many of our clients design their dream outdoor living space(s). In the Great Plains of the United States certain considerations have to be given to specific use of materials for low maintenance and high durability. The freeze-thaw cycle in our geographical location can cause headaches and material loss when choosing materials for outdoor areas.
We’re hoping you enjoy this months visit to our website. Please sign our guest book to let us know you came for a cyber visit! Check out our photo section and send us any comments you may have.
Full steam ahead on those outdoor projects! Sun screen and bug repellent may help to soften the physical rigors of our efforts. A nice wide brimmed hat, too! Dig In!!
Looking for my green thumb,
Susan
We’d like to say Hello! to all of you who have signed our guest book, and been interested in our site. Many of the builders we work with have checked in with us, Roth Construction Co. of Overland Park, Kansas being one. Hello to Harry and Bev and Stan!!!!!!!
Recently, there was an article in the local newspaper concerning certain areas of the metropolitan area that were "hot properties", in demand and in short supply. The Realtors are going "nuts" about getting listings, and people are putting money down as the agent is putting their sign in the yard. Tear downs are becoming more common, and the new homes being built on those tear down lots are updating neighborhoods, creating controversy and bringing change.
City government has it's hands full with respect to neighbors demanding that codes and zoning laws be upheld, or updated.
This"awareness" is, in fact, very important. All of us should pay attention to the changes going on in our neighborhoods. Your local city or county government will provide much public information that can be of assistance to interested parties.
Many older homes do not deserve to be torn down. A little TLC and smart updating can dramatically enhance a property,as well as maintaining the essential character and fabric of the existing neighborhood.
Thanks for checking in with us at "Nut’s-n-Bolt’s". We are delighted spring may actually be here. May all your expectations of this season be fulfilled!
Architecturally Speaking,
Susan
