Born in Rendsburg, Germany, (a small city, south of Denmark), Trost came with his family to "pursue the American dream" in 1960. And pursue he did. Today, the results of' Wolfgang Trost's labors of love in architecture can be seen throughout the entire Kansas City area including Loch Lloyd in the south to Ward Parkway near the Plaza. His style is unmistakable.Wolfgang began his career after graduating from the University of Kansas in 1977. "I always had a love for the fine arts and science, and during my third year in college, I just knew architecture was for me," he said.He ventured on his own and started his own practice with his wife as his business partner in 1981. Today, Wolfgang employs three architects and three support staff who oversee projects that scale from small home remodeling to his trademark upscale custom homes, where his love for design and quality are truly defined. As Wolfgang Trost says, "It may have been in my genes that I became an architect. My grandfather was a prominent engineer, and my father was a store planner designer. Kansas City has been an especially strong market for home building during the last decade.
